Dr. Danveer Singh
Principal InvestigatorAssistant Professor, Department of Physics, IIT Ropar. Our group works at the interface of nanophotonics, plasmonics, metasurfaces, and advanced optical materials — with applications in sensing, imaging, and photonic device engineering. Recent projects include temperature-invariant plasmonic Bragg reflectors, reconfigurable terahertz metasurfaces, and high-index dielectric platforms for mid-infrared photonics.

Shivani Semwal
PhD StudentBorn and raised in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Completed BSc and MSc from Pt. L.M.S. Govt. PG College, Rishikesh. Joined IIT Ropar in July 2024 — research interests in optics, nanophotonics, and light-matter interaction.

PhD StudentFrom Karnal, Haryana. BSc from KVA DAV College for Women, Karnal; MSc Physics from Kurukshetra University. Doctoral research focuses on advanced photonic materials and metasurfaces for next-generation optical applications.
Richa Pal
PhD Student (Joint)BSc and MSc Biotechnology from CSJM University, Kanpur. Expertise in DNA/RNA isolation, plant tissue culture, and primer design. Currently focusing on nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems combined with molecular dynamics simulations.
Umesh Arya
PhD StudentBSc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from JCD Memorial College, Sirsa, Haryana. Research interests in light-matter interaction, advanced microscopy systems, and curved-space plasmonics.
